Where the Costume Reveal (Ramalama) came from

A Halloween favorite this month: creators cut from everyday clothes to a full costume right on the drum hit of Róisín Murphy’s “Ramalama (Bang Bang)”.

It is seasonal, so the window closes around Halloween. Make yours before the costume pile goes back in the closet.

Tips for a better Costume Reveal (Ramalama) video

  • A sharp, well-lit face. The reveal is the whole payoff.
  • Use a clear, front-facing photo. Full-length photos work best because the whole outfit changes, not just the face.
  • Leave a spot empty to keep the original person there.

How do I make a Costume Reveal (Ramalama) video with my face?

Is the preview really free?

Yes. Your first preview is 4 seconds long, 480p and watermarked, and it costs nothing. You only pay for the full-length clip.

How long does it take?

The free 4-second preview takes about 5–10 minutes and the full video about 10–20 minutes. Keep the tab open for a browser alert, or close it and we email you a link.
